BEHIND THE MOO
Laura Maurice, a style maven, wife and mom, started Purple Cow 7 years ago and has recycled ten’s of thousands of garments ever since. Laura grew up in the business, first working for her mother Sue McCarthy, who owns Women’s Closet Exchange, the #1 women’s consignment shop in the country. Laura and the Purple Cow have continued that successful tradition gaining numerous accolades including “Best Baby Boutique,” by the Riverfront Times.
Laura built her business by constantly seeking out the best clothing and accessories and paying the best prices for them to their owners. Purple Cow is a great place to work and great place to shop. The staff is knowlegable, friendly, happy and Mootavated. Customer service is a priority and that service has lead to a loyal, devoted and ever expanding group of women who consider The Purple Cow “their boutique.”
Oh, yeah. The name “Purple Cow” came from a friend’s daughter who liked to play a game called Purple Cow. The first kid to make a noise or talk was “The Purple Cow.” It’s a great game. You should play it some time.
